Measuring windows and doors
For example, do you need windows made to standard dimensions or customised to fit your house? Either way, we can help, as we produce in many different dimensions and deliver directly from the factory to your home.
Before you get started, you need to have the following ready: Paper and pencil, ruler/measuring tape and possibly a plumb bob, if it's an older house. You'll need to measure the height and width of the wall hole.
You will need paper, pencil and ruler or tape measure.
You need to measure on the outside. Measure in several places. If the measurements differ, use the smallest measurement.
If the ruler doesn't fit, you can measure two smaller pieces and put them together.
Now you have the hole dimensions
Then subtract 2.5 cm to find the frame measurement. There should be 1.25 cm of space on each side for insulation.
Use these measurements to order doors or windows from Nem Gruppen.
The cavity dimension is the measurement from brick to brick. The frame dimension, on the other hand, is the dimension of the door or window itself. It's important to use the cavity measurement as a starting point, as there must also be room for insulation in addition to the element. This is done by subtracting about 2.5 cm from the hole dimension.
